What is the savings rate?
The savings rate is, in economics, an indicator that expresses the percentage of gross domestic product (GDP) that is allocated to savings.
If we look at the main countries or regions worldwide (reference below), we see that the average savings rate in the EU is around 5%, while in the US, it is about 2-3%.
