If You Want To Be Rich, You Must First Be Happy
Aspects such as sleep, diet, and exercise play a fundamental role in our happiness and success.
Some time ago, I read a book by Scott Adams that made me reconsider many aspects of my life. From page 1, I felt a strong connection with him. Scott Adams was obsessed with money and wanted to achieve success by living above the average population.
In that sense, I share a lot with him. I firmly believe that we should not be afraid to live an extraordinary life.
There are multiple alternatives to achieve this, and most of them are valid as long as they do not involve illicit activities. However, all these alternatives are based on a fundamental principle: being happy.
Scott came to the conclusion that if what you truly desire in life is success, you should aspire to be happy. If you are genuinely happy, you will have succeeded.
Ultimately, the only reasonable goal in this life is to maximize our ongoing experience of something called happiness. It may sound selfish, but it isn't. Only sociopaths or hermits can find happiness through extreme selfishness.
